EU rejects May's offer on EU citizensl

I don't know who his Mayor Khan and which party he belongs but he is a guy with good sense.

Mayor Khan said: “It is unacceptable for the Prime Minister to be treating EU citizens living here and contributing to our economy and society as bargaining chips. By doing so she is treating British people living in Europe the same.”

Not really comparable for negotiation

There are far more British people in the rest of the EU than non-British EU citizens in the UK per capita. If the UK and the rest of the EU would have the same number of citizens, there would be 8.8 million Brits in Europe versus 3.2 million non-British EU citizens in the UK.

It appears that the British are 2.75 times as likely to move elsewhere in the EU than people from other EU member states to move to the UK.

Yes problem is no one has a clue what May's rules are. What are the conditions of the 5 year stay, what is the cut off date and what are future access rights to pensions, heathcare etc

Everybody wants to know, obviously, but Mrs May won't give a running commentary.
