I'm not, in the same way as I'm not eating a British banana.

Interesting. So after you became impoverished and couldn't afford a decent German car you bought a Nissan. Psychologically you had to justify your being a loser and now you've convinced yourself it's due to patriotism.
        Predictable and standard I'd say.

            Agreed.

90% of the people who drove me in Portugal drove a Merc.

Exactly right and do you know what I also spoke to the drivers as to why they had bought / invested in them.

                Still, as you were.

When I worked in Faro I was surprised at the wealth but then there were places nearby with Brazilians living in cardboard boxes.

I was pickpocketed by two Brazilians so they are on my hate list.

Anyway this patriotism lark doesn't work.
British Leyland was kept afloat too long by doddery old fools like earlier versions of Dim (such as my dad) buying their crap because it was "patriotic".
I buy the best, and seriously I can't think of anything British that is best.
So fook British manufacturers, they need to shape up or ship out.

                    HTH. Next.

I disagree, please see my albeit fairly limited list earlier.

The point is we produce great luxury goods and a lot of other people like them.
The race to the bottom hasn't done the great old UK PLC any favours .
