What about back when you said you'd shifted your pension to ETH/BTC ETFs?
Would it be viable to use a BTC mining rig to supplement the heating in your home?
Even if you don't make any money out of BTC, the electricity won't have been wasted because it will have heated the house.
Obviously there's the cost of the rig, although I expect prices have fallen since BTC collapsed, and I imagine the fans are bloody noisy too.
Does anyone know if the rigs use a lot of internet bandwidth?
I've heard of people doing this in places like Canada. Not sure its worth it in the UK though, my heating is usually off for about half the year. If you have a summer like last year (or even a normal hot spell) you might even need to add cooling.
