I've had a machine mining Bytecoin for the last couple of month. Was not impressed with the £3-5 I generated. But the same coins are now worth £20+ A few pints there.

I'd always worry about vulnaribity from hackers with this sort of thing. Yes, I know that technically my bank balance is just a load of 1s and 0s but I feel more confident that it's secure.

I don't know if any of you saw it but there's a really interesting US series called Startup with is just about this sort of thing. Tennage geek girl sets up her own digital currency called gen coin. Gets funding from some dubious sources. Gets hacked and then spends the rest of the season on the run from said dubious sources who want their money back.

Likewise. That's why I print off my passphrase. No electronic copy now exists. Hacker proof. Unless my daughter drops her spag bol allover it..
