What is fair? If they're operating within the law...

He's not yet said what that upper limit is. £1,000,000 perhaps. What labour voter is not going to support that?

Many working class that voted for trump believe they'll be like him one day. Rags to riches. Of course that can never happen. But they bought it. Corbyn supporters know that but the opposition would have you believe otherwise.

The ones that want to see Premier League football continue at a standard where players aren't stuck to earning less than £19,000 per week while the rest of the world happily pays much more, bankrupting our football clubs and leading to mass redundancies across the country in both football clubs and the peripheral businesses.

Scooterscot to the rescue yet again.

The problem for Corbyn is that, whilst he appeals very strongly to many traditional labour voters, his appeal will never grow outside of that demographic to the point where he will have any chance of being elected PM.
The country is probably crying out for some viable opposition to the status quo, but too many of the electorate are so disillusioned with spin and broken promises to trust any of them.
As the saying goes, we get the government we deserve.

His leanings are far too much towards idealistic socialist worker/communist values to appeal to anyone but a minority of people who wished they could bring back the old Soviet Union and use it as a model utopia.

I don't actually believe he WANTS to be PM. He is quite happy to trumpet his unworkable soundbites regardless of what position he is working under. He is probably mystified as much as everyone else as to just how he has been handed the reins of the Labour Party.
It is not so much that his star has risen as it is that the rest of the PLP have all strapped themselves to plummeting asteroids.

If 2016 has taught us anything is that the majority will vote for things that make no sense or won't work in reality. It could be that Corbyn is exactly the right sort of politician.

Even the BAFTA committee seem to be voting for La La Land.

The problem is that he'll give the government free rein to do whatever the hell they want; same happened with Bliar and Brown while the Tories rebuilt. As I've said previously, doesn't matter who's in power, without a good opposition, you'll get a bad government.

Steptoe's extra problem, probably his worse and a fatal shortcoming if he but knew it, is that traditional Labour voters are those most adversely affected by excessive immigration, and he just can't bring himself to criticize it or advocate any curbs.

Mainly because the Labour luvvie set will have a fit at the lack of compassion shown by Jezza. UKIP could make significant inroads in the next few years as disgruntled voters on both sides decide they've had enough. After Trump and Clinton being put forward ahead of more logical candidates, anything can happen.
