Is the metro ALL above ground?

The DLR has customer service assistants as it's all above ground.

Mostly, just like the Metrolink in Manchester.

Difference with Manchester is that it crosses streets and dopey drivers don't realise, no matter how many times it happens, that when car meets tram, tram wins.

Regardless of any of this, the lack of transport infrastructure spend in the Northern part of this country is a disgrace.

Still, I guess we must be the only country in the world that is paying higher fares to subsidise other countries railways.

          Tube Strike

Lovely commute to South Wales this morning, the fog clinging to the majestic valley, and a cool clean breeze.

The bigger laugh is that the Metrolink in Manchester is more expensive than the DLR for similar length journeys. London weighting eh?

Go to Spain or France, nice cheap, clean, efficient railways there

Public transport strike here too, and it's the first day of school (and work for many people) but from what I've heard its actually been reasonably trouble free.

Ah yes, but then railways on the continent would suffer
