Explain why a EU army is a bad thing?

When it's suggested by the Italians, it really is time to panic.
Serious answer, it's basically a bit like everything else run by the EU. Doomed to failure. Look at the migration crisis. Who's sorting that out? Everybody else, and not very well. The EU has been conspicuous by its total absence of anything constructive, on this and virtually everything else that actually matters. Basically, they're spending all their time and effort going after companies who have certain tax arrangements with certain countries (which are technically legal), and ignoring the big important stuff.
I'd like to invite the EU commissioners to a brewery, just to prove my point that they couldn't organise a pissup in one. And you want them to run our armies? You are beyond deluded.

You really should have paid attention in school, and if you had done you would know that the Germans (in various guises, e.g. West Germany, unified post 1990 etc) are not permitted to partake in military action except in a defensive capacity. It's in their constitution, but you only live there, so how the hell should you be expected to know.
