I wanted to get a TT to throw around corners but life had other ideas so it’s a VW Tiguan – good clearance for driving on site & I can get a wheel chair in the boot.

And before you ask, about having only 1 car: AYCOTBAC? the answer is no

I used to have a Lincoln Continental MKIV 2 door pillar-less coupe which was red with a white vinyl roof and blue leather interior, and original 8 track cassette player. That was also a beast, 7.5l engine with 212bhp (earlier ones had 365bhp) and was also 19 foot long which made for hair raising times when driving along little country lanes...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Those of you who bought newish Jags - do you not think the build quality is not as good as Germans?
I test drove a Jag XF and Merc E-class on the same day and the Jag seemed flimsy compared to the Merc.
        Finish was a cut below.
        Hard Brexit now!

Seems everyone buys old sheds. Can't stand cars from the 70's and 80's, horrible nasty things.

I had a 1988 Mercedes 300SL (forgot to include it in my original list). That was a very nice car and beautifully built.

Totally agree, unless you keep them in mint condition.

Get used to it. Post-Brexit it's Austin Maxis all round.

That'd be impressive considering there's probably only 20 left. Car share anyone?
