It's a bit like feeding mogwai. The stipulation is "after" a certain time - but how long until "after" becomes "before"?

In the case of Ramadan fasting, Muslims are allowed to eat before dawn... which is probably why they wanted waking for an early breakfast, considering how early dawn is.
