Originally posted by SassyI have just revceived a new contract for employment that states the employer can give me 2 weeks notice anytime during my contract, however I am unable to give notice and am obliged to work out the full term of my contract.
I am uncomforable with the fact that this doesn't offer equal rights to me as a contractor, can anyone adivse if this can be legally enforced?
The only time this is an arse is if they lie over the contract length (my contract has no length - verbally agreed as end Dec - nowt written).Comment

Sassy old boy. If you are going to be a contractor you are going to have to develop a thicker skin, that's just the way it is.
Most of us have endured such terms on contracts for years without any cause for concern, if you are good at what you do they will always want you around. Mostly more than you would like.
Chill out, it'll be fine.Comment
