Spend any time in the EU outside the UK and you'll see that all the ladies are fit. When you come back you'll realise everyone here is obese and it's not normal to be that fat.

In fairness it's easier to avoid sugar and salty bread or butter here. I don't really see isles of soft drinks either. Every time I go back to Edinburgh I feel the pounds piling on without much effort.

You can thank the EU for the traffic light symbol thingies you see on some foodstuffs now.
