I have a Jawbone UP and I use it as a little competition against myself, originally got it to tack my sleep (turns out I only have about 40 mins of deep sleep a night, the joys of insomnia ). Heart rate is never looked at, I am trying to lose weight so I am using it to help that, but if you're not into looking after your health there is little point in the fitness bands.

As for the smart watches with notficiations etc, that is a different question, one I cannot answer as never had the urge to get an Apple Watch or Android Gear despite how good the new lot look

Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.
