    Modern cars are pants.

    Always pay cash, never more the a grand, on a decent, pre-2000, second hand car.

    Drive into ground over several years.

    Rinse and repeat...

      From what I know. The leasing company often use this special light which picks up marks not visible under normal light. Pretty hard not to get dinged really. But at least you have had a really nice car for 2-3 years.

            I'll be taking a contract car next time, fed up of the salesdrones, buying, selling hassle, etc on a depreciating asset. Can get a BMW 520 for under £300/month
