Plug in hybrid...
Mitsubuishi Outlander.
Do the maths on corporation Tax, fuel duty, BiK, VED and the £5k grant and you'll realise why.
Being an ultralow emissions vehicle menas you can write off CT under the enhanced capital allowance shceme.
If you commute is less 30 miles round trip you won't be bothered about the loss of mileage claim and you won't be paying anymore fuel duty. (Or 60 miles assuming you can charge at work on a 13A socket).
Or if you like a bit of speed (acceleration not top end) and less load / passenger carrying capacity - a BMW i3 REX ( which is what I went for ). Also has 80 mile round trip electric range + petrol tank to keep you going all day on longer trips.
Something a bit more conventional is Golf GTE or Audi A3 e-TRon (but you can't order one as the books are full).
PHEVs make good contractor cars due to huge tax savings.Signed sealed and delivered.Comment

The Carrera GT or GTS are the only versions even vaguely worth having, IMHO. Ordinary 924s are the archetypal poor man's Porsche.Comment

I was in royan (frenchshire) last week and was amused to see a cayenne taxicab. Complete with roof mounted sign. My wife thinks it must have been a tax dodge.Comment
