September 2013 update: CAUGHT & JAILED: McGowan was arrested at a swimming pool in Valencia, Spain on 10 August 2013 by the Guardia Civil. He was then extradited to the UK and appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on 6 September 2013 to begin the four year jail term he was originally sentenced to in December 2001.

So get sentanced to four years, jump off to Spain, have a fantastic time with all the money for 12 years, and then face the same 4 years in jail when caught?
