What was it that Sturgeon said that was so impressive? There was an awful lot of mudslinging at Cameron and Miliband, and to a lesser extent Farage, but that was about it. Better united? Great, how's that working for their independence movement within GB? Do they intend to "work closely together" within the Union? I'm someone who actually would support the Scots' bid to go at it alone but she is an utter turn off. Perhaps her charm is lost on me.
Farage, Clegg and Cameron were all good, although Cameron mostly trotted out figures about how well the Coalition did. Miliband was a lot more toned down than I expected, and a lot less haughty than in some of his previous showings. Fairly composed.
All in all, absolutely nothing new that would change my mind on how to cast an already fairly pointless vote, and frankly their personalities do not and should not factor into this anyway, which is largely what this event showcased. This site seems to agree that these won't have much impact overall.
I switched over to American Horror Story towards the end. Quite a seamless transition!Last edited by Zero Liability; 2 April 2015, 23:11.Comment

Farage was good although went too negative occasionally. Milband did ok. Cameron had a hard job defending against 6 opponents.
Sturgeon got a free ride. Welsh lady a bit out of her depth. Greenie mostly mad.
They did spend far too long on that NHS question though. Everybody loves the NHS and apparently each Political party was going to spend more on it than all the other parties. Yawn. Next question please.Last edited by Flashman; 3 April 2015, 00:27.Comment

As predicted though the lefties focused their ire on Miliband, Farage and to a lesser extent Clegg on Cameron and Cameron on Miliband. I think Clegg did a better job of defending the Coalition's track record against Miliband and the others than Cameron.
However little new came of this. At least Miliband looked fairly sane compared to Bennett. It was Sturgeon who harassed him the most.
And I think it'd have been nice to see Sturgeon take a lot more heat for the SNP's outright fabrications regarding oil revenues and the currency issue.
As you say, too much time wasted on just one issue where their responses vary in naught but the details. Calling it a 'debate', even by political standards, is misleading; felt more like a Jerry Springer episode, just without all the pregnancy. A nice little circus though. Couldn't bring myself to watch it to the end and if what is to come is similar, I shall be passing. A more focused four way debate between Cameron, Clegg, Miliband and Farage would have been more interesting.Last edited by Zero Liability; 3 April 2015, 07:11.Comment

Im not scottish and dont live in Scotland so have nothing to benefit from the SNP. But, I thought she gave the best account of all the party leaders. Milliband was very good and cameron just harked on to the past.I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!Comment
