I do wonder sometimes whether you actually believe that the media are controlled by the left wing. 80% of UK newspaper readership is controlled by Rothermere, Murdoch and Desmond. So which of those do you count as left wing?

When people are asked about policies without knowing which party they were proposed by, it turns out Labour has the most popular policies on Health/NHS, the Environment, Europe, Welfare, and Immigration, Greens on the Economy, Crime, and Defence , and Lib Dems on Education and Democracy.

Fascinating. Obviously all the caveats about interweb surveys apply, however the sample size seems reasonable. Seems to be quite a distance between what people really want and what our 'democracy' is likely to deliver ....
