Lennon's music was always very ordinary to me, pedestrian, musically McCartney was leap years ahead of him and I think that showed in later songs after the split.
I think when people say Lennon I think that is just a fashionable choice.Comment

Imagine does have a nice chord structure, but the lyrics are right out of the Charles Manson book of how to write lyrics. ( he wrote one for the Beach Boys ).Comment
