            The super-rich that are used to being super-rich don't need to mention how much things cost. In fact they probably don't know how much things cost because they can never need to worry about it. Yuki on the other hand seems to be overwhelmed by her ability to spend hundreds of pounds here and there, which tends to be a sign of sudden wealth or at least an affected sense of class.

              Generations of squandering the inheritance and all that. Living in draughty old piles that are continually and expensively crumbling, with a smelly menagerie of semi-ferral dogs and cats.

                I very much doubt if these are her actual words. It’s the way journalists work, mostly made up and they often will use something like. “How much would you say that you spent on bla bla?” and the answer will be merged into the rest of the interview.
