So why haven't your glorious leaders reduced the price of fuel in Germany? And why are the German people standing for this blatant shafting?
    More than slightly, no?

    19 E Germany € 1,379
    56 E United Kingdom € 1,499

    8% cheaper

But still extortionate compared to somewhere like the US.

Ah but Bavaria is rich, they don't care. The local residents here have funded the building a tunnel just to move a road from going through the park. Now that's the sort of money that could beat Wales to to death.

In Germany it varies a lot on which petrol station, which petrol company you use, where you tank and at what time you tank. I tanked last Friday and it was €1,44 and then again on Monday and it was €1,55 yet I could have gone to Shell and it would have been €1,62. Quite a few petrol stations change their prices a couple of times a day although the government has cracked down on that (sometimes it would be up to 5 times a day!) and smaller petrol companies or independent petrol stations tend to be cheaper than the biggies. Monday mornings, most of the petrol stations put their prices up for the commuters and then they go back down again! Autobahn petrol stations tend to be the most expensive and Shell are a joke for their prices...

So what have we concluded from today's discussion?

That similar products and services vary in price across different regions, countries and jurisdictions due to variations in local tax, regulations, geography, population density and market forces?
