Bollox to that. My health is more important than a couple days invoicing. Struggling on with illnesses like that can do permanent hidden damage that contributes to an early death. I plan to live long enough to enjoy an early retirement
Permies need sick pay because their income is tulipe and get pressured to come back while they are still ill. Any contractor who isn't a muppet will be able to take a few days without pay and not even notice it and will have the freedom to put themselves first.
Agree with this. Look after yourself. Once worked with a contractor that had conjunctivitis in both eyes and a horrible cold and still came into work. No one thought he was a hero, just pissed he was going to spread his lergy around. Like you said you should be able to take a few days off and not even have it affect your pot of gold.
