As a parent, I don't think I'd have done what the McCann's did, but I equally wouldn't start a thread in the tasteless manner that the OP did. There has to be something massive missing in your life to come up with such bile and anger towards two parents who made a horrendous mistake and paid for it BY LOSING THEIR CHILD.

You seem to have grasped the fact that they made an appalling mistake. And we mostly agree that most of us wouldn't make that mistake. Now, do you agree that they have been punished in the worst way possible by losing their child? So what are you adding here? While the McCanns may not be reading your specific comments, what is it about keyboard warriors such as your good self that they cannot see that the McCanns have already suffered in the worst way possible?

I just can't fathom someone who seems almost joyful in pointing out how much better they are than two people who will forever have to deal with the fact that their mistake ended up with them losing their daughter. I'm not joyful in the fact that someone has lost a child through their own selfishness, far from it.

I'm joyful at the little turds who come running out of the woodwork defending the unforgivable with comments like "well, we've all been there" etc. etc.
