It's pretty simple, don't leave very young children unattended. Madeleine was three the other children were two.

Is it acceptable to leave a 3 year old and 2 year olds alone and go out for a drink? Yes or No?
I am simply asking at what point does leaving your child become acceptable? How hard is that to answer?

I've done it, so I would have to say "yes".

But obviously, I'm not as good a parent as everyone on CUK

            Unforgivable.
I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. [Christopher Hitchens]

                I know.

No doubt there will be articles in the newspapers about how evil I am, and people the world over will start to discuss how much a better parent they are than I.

We all have our cross to bear, and can only look to other role models to help control our evil actions.

Prime Minister has done it as well.

Not at all, it just means you're willing to risk the lives of your kids where others aren't. Oh and you're a selfish twat, I nearly forgot that bit.

He did it in reverse. Took his daughter to the pub then left without her
