But the reason I ask is because I assumed from your reaction that you thought that incest should be illegal. So I'm wondering, if that were the case, how you decide which kind of behaviour is acceptable and which isn't?

I believe incest should be illegal. Any children stand a good chance of having alot of issues.

Generally I believe that anything between consenting adults is okay.

So what about brother-brother or sister-sister relations? Seems very freaky to me.

I think first-cousin relations should be banned - there's enough evidence, look at the Pakistani community where it's de-riguer, much higher than normal birth-defects. A quick peruse of immigrationboards.com will show many of that community importing their brides etc free of the financial tests as they are 'carers' of family members on higher level of DLA.

Wouldn't that screw up the Royal families of Europe?

I think first-cousin relations should be banned - there's enough evidence, look at the Pakistani community where it's de-riguer, much higher than normal birth-defects. A quick peruse of immigrationboards.com will show many of that community importing their brides etc free of the financial tests as they are 'carers' of family members on higher level of DLA.

They tend to be multi-generational first and other cousin marries though.

If you married your first cousin as long as your own children and their grandchildren didn't marry anybody related to you, you should be OK.
