What a lot of you seem to not be able to grasp is that there would have been outcomes had we NOT deposed Saddam hussein
If we hadn't 'deposed' Saddam Hussein and Gadaffi they would have moved ahead with their plan to stop trading oil in the US petrodollar:

I loathe Blair and I accept that the Iraq invasion was conducted under false pretences but that does not mean that I necessarily think that invading Iraq was the wrong thing to do. As for the war criminal bit this is designed for the left to purge themselves of guilt and walk away from the responsibility of making their own decision about whether we should have left saddam Hussein alone. It is also an excuse to pacify russia, patronise Isis and excuse terrorism.

I am sure corporate interest has a part to play in all this but your claims are exaggerated conspiracies at best. And do not forget that people like you are quite happy to go and work at the banks, construction corporates and retailers and take your £500 a day.

Sitting back criticising the system and people/organisations at will may make you feel clever but it is this system and its institutions that make you one of the highest earning people on the planet.
So you agree that our governments lied to us to take us to war in the name of corporate interest.

And you are clearly fine with it. You think it was the right thing to do even though millions have died, the whole region has become hell on earth and as a result.

We have nothing more to discuss on the matter. I have a different view and don't see any need to keep going round in circles.

I remember back in the 70s when there was a proper WW3 threat.

These days it all seems so benign.

There again, I bet the 70s was nothing relative to the Bay of Pigs.

Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

                  It's all getting silly now

Russia threatens Denmark with nuclear weapons

Russia threatens Denmark with nuclear weapons if it tries to join Nato defence shield - Europe - World - The Independent

Russia has threatened to target Denmark’s warships with nuclear weapons if the Scandinavian nation becomes a member of Nato’s missile defence shield.

In comments which have been met with anger in Copenhagen, the Russian ambassador to Denmark said a move towards better integration with the Western alliance would make it a “threat to Russia”, and that it would have to accept the consequences.

Mikhail Vanin told the told Jyllands-Posten newspaper: “I do not think that the Danes fully understand the consequences if Denmark joins the US-led missile defence shield. If that happens, Danish warships become targets for Russian nuclear missiles.”
It does seem a bit premature to be threatening this. I thought sanctions came first.

Although now the WW3 doomsayers now have the might of Gerald Celente behind them now

Here's my unsung hero's of the Cold War. The Royal Observer Corps - would have loved to have served in the ROC during the Cold War era.
It's like the Dads Army of the Cold War - with 1500 of these 3 man
bunkers spread across the UK ( upto 1968 ) but there were still 780 of those bunkers left
( in active service ) upto the end of the Cold War in 1991.
Apparently they were a vital part of the UK's Civil Defense system, at the time.

The ROC were all volunteers, you know - who would have had to have
foresaken their families to shelter in these ROC Posts and provide
fall out information to the MOD & Joe Public - after the bomb dropped.
A grim task - but as it turned out - a phoney war. Although I bet the
ROCer's had the mickey taken out of them, something rotten, no doubt.
