Got contract direct but client co wants me to use their agency

    I worked with Ifftner and cannot recommend them more, I am direct with a end client that use Ifftner and when they saw where I was got in touch even though there is no financial incentive for them to and met up for a coffee.

      That's a good principle to remind you where you stand.

      The agency is liable to forget that. In fact they're liable to be unable to comprehend it. I even had one agency in a case like this tell me that they couldn't agree the rate until they had negotiated with the client. No, I said, the contract is already negotiated... they disagreed. Obviously all they could understand was that I was bringing them a lead, not that I had a contract offered but wanted to engage their services for it. They would not budge on the idea that it was to be their contract, not mine (so I budged elsewhere instead).
