    Contracting with MS BizTalk

    Hi There,

I'm currently a permie with 18 months .net/c#, 6 months MS BizTalk experience at a consultancy and I'm looking to go contracting late this year as I'm not too keen on playing the corporate game... Do you guys know what the market is like for BizTalk development (with a lot of web service work) at the moment and how it's going to shape up?

A quick look on the 'contract search' feature on this site shows a few postings but I'm not sure how many are cv fishing exercises from agencies.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Most clients will be looking for at least 2 years (more likely 3) in X techonology. Remember, they're supposed to be hiring "experts".

You might get away with 18 months .NET/C#, but I think that with only 6 months BizTalk you'd be hard pushed to find a contract in that area.

Thanks for that, I know what you mean. I'm just testing the water really - I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable contracting with my level of experience at the moment but possibly early next year.
