It can help i.e. if you have an idiot client who believes that if you are close you will stay longer in the role.

However having your full address on can take up valuable space you can use to highlight other points.

I've always had my address on my CV, ever since I started applying for work.

Its the same address that is on companies house for my LTD - which anyone can view. Never had any problems to date, so why remove it now?
Well, your Date of Birth is on Companies House Registrar as well, you may as well state that on your CV. Whist you are at it, state your Marital Status.

If I were you, I would ask your Accountant if you could use their Address as your Company House, this will limit your exposure to (identity) thieves and reduce unecessary Junk Mail from being delivered.

I taken my address off my CV for a few reasons. One, to reduce the risk of theft, and two, to make myself a bit more marketable in that I am happy to work anywhere in the country.
If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.

Depending on when your company was incorporated your personal address will still be on publicly abtainable records with Companies House unless you move.

Under the age discrimination act you no longer have to out your date of birth down on your cv.

Under other acts the same applies to marital status and nationality.

I know one does not have to state DOB, Nationality or Marital Status on the CV. It was a pedantic comment I made in that particular post.

Date of birth is a good thing to have on your CV if you're of the right age

                Interesting...

There's a lot of varying views as to what effect (if any) putting your address on your CV does or does not have (postive or negative).

For what it's worth, I'm convinced that putting my (Central Scotland) address on my CV instantly marks me down in the eyes of agents for roles much further 'south' than Newcastle, or perhaps even outside Scotland. In future I'll be pursuing the 'no address' logic and seeing what effect that has. Should be interesting.

Conversely, I live in London, like having roles in London, and so I'm happy to have my address on my CV. It takes up one line in the header, so space isn't an issue for me.
