Hi all
i got a call tonight from an Ian from Broadgate IT. First off he asked me what I am doing, I told I am looking for work, last contract finished in August. Then he asked what I would like to do, I turned the question around and asked what he has to offer, after all, he called me ! He started a spiel about a contract in Edinburgh then after a few sentances cut off the phone! The call was from a private number, so I can only assume this was a clumsy attempt at fishing.

Maybe the weather cut the phone off? Maybe a BT engineed drilled through the cable? Maybe a rhino attacked the telegraph pole? Maybe he slipped, fell on his back, simultaneously ripping the phone out of the wall? Maybe his phone had an almighty failure and cut you off? Maybe a bird came along and..........

I find it ironic that "Broadgate" is an anagram of "Abrogated" which means done away with or something like that.

Stay well clear. They started operating Broadgate, whilst still taking money via JBA, knowing that loads of contractors were never going to receive the money. They ignored calls and at the time of liquidation JBA's accounts showed a director's "savings" account having a balance of £650 000+. No morals whatsoever...

Interestingly, Nick Beckett is still the director of Broadgate IT, but their business activity is now listed on the Companies House website as :

(SIC code 78101)

There used to be an OK outfit with the same name, that I've not heard from in years, I suspect this may be someone trying to trade on some old goodwill.
