    Really? How much NI do you pay? I pay none. When I was contracting via Parasol I was paying my own NI and the employers NI.

    Which meant on say £30k I was paying £2700 employers NI and £2340. Thats £5040. My accountant does everything for £70 a month. I make that £4200 I'm saving. (These arent real figures for me, but are examples for the OP)

    I would say, if you think you will be contracting for a while go Ltd. If you are trying it and not sure if you will stay a contractor or go back to permy then umbrella is fine.
