    It does if the OP bothered to protest in WRITING in the first place instead of meekly agreeing with it.

    If you are faced with a breach of contract you need to make it very clear that it is a breach and ask for a remedy before you take action yourself. And to ensure that the other party can't deny you asked for it to be resolved you need to write to them more than once.

    At the moment all it looks like is that the OP decided that he wanted to end the contract and has done so.
