awful
My previous contract was with their London office and I found them to be the worst agency ever in my experience. Numerous issues with them
1. Forgot to let me know that the client was ringing me for a telephone interview. The client (IBM) rang and interviewed me on the spot though they said the interview had been organised for 2 days, Elan had just forgotten to tell me. IBM said the job is 99% mine, they would let me know by the end of the day.
2. Rang Elan 2 days later to see if they had heard anything. They incorrectly claimed they hadn't.
3. Got a call a week later saying that they had messed up and I was supposed to start the following day, their mistake. Was that ok with me. Yes it was but can you give me the end users address please? Sorry we don't know it, will get back with you within an hour.
4. Despite numerous calls to Elan and emails no client address was forthcoming. So I rang the client and asked to speak with the guy who interviewed me. Got the address.
5. Contract arrived 1 week after a started work for IBM. Contract not in my name or clients!
6. Three weeks later contract arrived in my name but with last years dates on and was for 12 months (not 2 months).
7. Contract finished after a one month extension thus totalling 3 months. During this time I had no valid contract. No communication with Elan whatsoever, even the extension was arranged with IBM directly.
But I also had no problem getting paid either, so that's a good thing.
Other contractors on site through Elan all seemed to have issues with Elan's service once the contract had started.
