The only glimmer it may be turned around is that JBA are supposedly owed money from the clients they haven't got round to invoicing for work towards the end of last year. No real suprise there, the staff have been incompetent and unreliable from my experience, and JBA have been by far the worst agency I've dealt with in over 12 years of contracting.

Wouldn't suprise me if this other company are only involved to collect those amounts due to JBA, doesn't mean they'll be able or interested in paying the contractors.
Has anyone have any answers from there phone in the last few days... I am chasing Money on Old Contract?

No nothing, phone is out of order first ring and then engaged. I have been trying to get money out of this incompetent bunch for 3 months solidly now. Very stressful.

I am really sick of their lies. If they are so low as to cut contact with people who rightfully deserve a bit of honesty after months of being messed around, then maybe I'll post the directors personal contact details here so everyone can get hold him for some answers.

Not heard anything official but what I have heard is they have ceased trading and are going into liquidation.

Apparently several of their creditors have started legal action forcing the move. Not that there was really ever much chance of any other outcome.

I am also in the same situation. I am owed 3 weeks money from before Christmas 2009 and it seems Fiona Johnson and Robert Porter in accounts seem to give everyone the same lies and excuses!

Their phone has been disconnected and their email's no longer go through and just bounce back.

I have spoken with the client for whom I have completed the work for and they have sent and paid all invoices to JBA. Doesn't look hopeful now though. Does anybody know who the administration or liquidation company are?

Don't think it's been announced yet.

They're still 'active' on Companies House, though not sure how quick that is likely to be updated, but I'm sure I read somewhere that CH have to be informed and the online records will then show the new status.

JBA are probably busy clearing any valuable kit from the office and generally trying to cover their tracks before they make it all official.

Some guy from Penta called me yesterday to ask if I was looking for any contractors for client co. So I asked him about their financial situation and he said that they are running good at the moment.

Well an agents word is good enough for me, so I guess thats that.

                    Hello tous le monde
I have my letter from Bond Partners about them ceasing trading. The creditors meeting is the 12th March. The liquidator will be appointed then. I would have thought that if they owe you money then you would have the same letter arriving soon.
It's annoying for me as I haven't been paid since last June even more annoying knowing that they knew they were going down the pan and still engaged people into more contracts.
As i live in France, I don't have the same sort of accounting ability to write off the loss as with you guys in the UK. I get to kick the cat... a lot... but that's about it. Mrs CrazyFrog and CrazyTadPoles are not happy
