    I did ask how long it normally takes, was told a couple of weeks. I pointed out September was quite a bit longer ago than 2 weeks, got the response "well thats the DVA for you".

    I think I might try giving them a call. Tried the other day but got bored after being on hold for 10 minutes. Seems whenever I call there's always a long wait.

      Well I thought I'd give everyone an update.

      Through all this faffing around with my last client and through pointing out their failure to commit to something I have it in an email they said they'd do (transfer the SC), I have managed to get the right people to write a confirmation letter to my new client which they have subsequently accepted, SC is being transfered and I have the contract though email and am starting on Monday.

      Woo hoo!

            well done and congrats

            Mine is still in a state of limbo - my previous client were unaware that they had to get the clearance transferred which is why they hadnt done it. They are now communicating with the place that held the clearance to see what can be done (the snow this week has not helped matters as many people didnt get into the office)
