I've been using Nixon Williams for well over a year now and think they are great, no problems and always in touch to keep me on the straight and narrow.

I pay £60+VAT per month and they take care of everything including my tax returns etc, really good value for money.

That's all very reassuring as I've just switched to them.....
...my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...

I'm on the premium service and I can't fault them at all. Having a dedicated account manager is a great help, they respond to e-mails very quickly and give a direct phone number so you can always get hold of them.

        Highly recommended.

          Another vote for NW

I have recommended them to 3 others all who feel the same.

          Go for it

I'm happy with them - just shove everything in an envelope each month and leave them to sort it out. No messing around with spreadsheets either (which IMO would be doing a lot of their work for them, so I don't understand why SJD can justify charging significantly more than NW).

They also recently did my first annual company accounts, which I double-checked quite thoroughly, and there were zero errors.

              8/10 from me.

My one big gripe with NW this year was they filed my P35 Q6 without consulting - and so implicitly making an assumption about my ltdco.
              It was corrected though.
But they should have known this would be a contentious issue for many IT contractors and highlighted it long before May. It would also help if they automatically sent out copies for me of the various bits and pieces they are filing for the ltdco, such as the P35.

Do they now send you copies, or do you have to request a copy each time - in these days of online filing I'd like to be copied in on everything

They're good but not perfect (Alan will be along to take umbrage at that soon ). I use them, and am starting to like them but keep a careful eye on things like any returns etc.

One downside is that because you speak to a different person each time you can end up repeating yourself a fair bit and there's no 'history' with the person you're speaking to. I could bitch and moan about the small things but that's not fair, but like I say, keep an eye on the bigger things.

And just to pre-empt Mr Nixon - yes, I am recommending you use them. Once you get over any teething troubles they're quick, friendly and helpful. Personally I've always had phone calls returned when they say they will and email replies are pretty quick. They're worth the £70-or-whatever a month.

Can't see anything on their website about a premium service but perhaps haven't looked hard enough. It would have to be something pretty special to be worth paying extra for though.

I use them now & have since my company start up 18 months ago.
                      No probs, nice friendly staff.
No need to buy the premium package though
