        Assistance required:

I have a chance of gaining a contract direct with a company in Norway.

I'm not sure at what hourly rate to pitch though? Any thoughts of how to do a basic calculation between UK and Norway?

I've worked in Denmark and I'm being told that Norway is twice as much as Denmark, which in turn is twice as much as UK.

        Any thoughts would be welcome

        Cheers

What the minimum price you need to have to be out there? Start from that...

Also ask to get your accommodation thrown in, don't ask don't get. I got mine paid for... + travel whenever I needed it.

Cheers thanks for that, regarding the accomodatin, is that normal or are they more likely to agree to it?

I could image asking a UK company and not getting anywhere!

              Don't ask don't get.

Remember it's easier for them to get accommodation as people do special corporate deals and they already have a presence in Norway.

Looking for A New Umbrella Comapny for Norway urgently, help?

Hi, will appreciate if you can recommend this solution so I can maximize my take home to 70%
I've been working out here in Norway for a few months and told I can only claim for my bills in Norway, I'm with Liberty Bishop and the take home really is very bad, my return is really lousy including expenses I'm taking home @ 50% return, after paying my bills in the UK, mortgage etc, I'm not coming out very well, will really appreciate some help as I like the job and will have no choice but to give it up if it means making negative equity
Seems someone is making some money, I'm doing all the work but not making anything

I have found a pretty good compliant solution now thanks, around 70% retention and it does not involve any offshore ebt or anything. As for contracts, what's your flavour of speciality ?? The three biggies here are Aker Solutions, Statoil and the Government who have a huge IT operation. I may have some contacts for you. Also try Darwin Recruitment based in Billericay, Essex.
Mail me for further info.....and yes, the Scandinavian way of doing things, beats the mad British way !! and it's far more aestetic to boot

                      Norway

There are a few companies that have Norway solutions. You could try I-Paye or Capital Tax Consultants
