It looks like I'll be turning it down anyway now. Qdos say contract inside IR35.

If it is working at HP/BT in Sheffield then I beleive that it is actually BT that force you to take the 2 hours. Something to do with employment laws, despite the fact that they don't really apply to contractors.

I worked for them for a while and as I was on a different shift I got paid the full 12 hours but i know alot of people who really were unhappy with the situation. There is f**k all to do for 2 hours in the middle of the night and not even adequate places to catch a nap.

The work was very tedious too and the nights were killers. Hence the reason I left the contract a few months early.

The employment law thing is just an excuse as they make you work the full 12 hours, with threats of no renewal.

It looks like I'm going to be taking this one after all!
Contract been negotiated ok. Will prob take out Qdos insurance too just in case.

Really don't want to do it, but also don't want to be on the bench right now so it's a case of take the job, do it for a while until I get really fed up with it and then take some time off.

I'll consider getting Riley's membership - that sounds like a good idea!
