    Thanks all for the advice. Have had a couple of interviews, one turned me down because of the notice period. More importantly the other turned me down because they felt my experience and the job I was doing in the last six months was not technical enough! That ticked me off and made we wanted to resign straight away!

    Might have to hand in notice to get me through to January and then focus on getting something between now and then, or look really hard in Jan with a bit more free time on my hands.
