I've been applying for many jobs now and i've noticed a weird trend where the agent says before I can put you forward for the roll the end client wants me to write a 500 word essay about why I think i'm good for the roll and a 1000 word report showing technical problems and how you over come them. And Lastly write a Powershell script to show your skills. And this is BEFORE they will even submit your C.V !

Just make sure your spellings are right on the essay

See, OP is missing a trick. Send 'em a PDF just saying 'F**K Off' in big letters, tell the agent that is your 500 word essay and, agents being agents, may just pass it on to the client without checking it. That would be the way to go....
