preferred Agency list..

Hi all,

I am new to this forum so might be asking some thing foolish,
But in short span of time of contracting what i understand is every banks have a preferred agency list so if you apply through them you have good chance of getting the gig if not you might be ignored is this correct ? if so how can you know the list they maintain?

From my limited knowledge, a lot of companies now have a Preferred Supplier List (PSL) to stop them getting bombarded by different agencies. Sometimes however, if the agencies on the PSL are struggling to get the right candidates they may then go out to other agencies to find people. The PSL agency will be making less money on placing these people so probably will champion their own candidates more (this is just my opinion by the way, many moons ago I worked in recruitment). You should be able to find out the agencies on a company's PSL by contacting contractors who already work there or you could just contact the company directly and ask them, it shouldn't be a secret.
