I don't like Corbyn. But he was right in this case.
If Campbell does not like it he can create his own party.
I happen to agree. Rules is rules. But the rules must be applied consistently otherwise they are pointless. We have this morning other Labour party members claiming they voted Lib Dem, they must also be kicked out. The Labour party could be a very small party by the end of the day!

Rules is rules, but it's unclear whether he broke any.
Thanks for posting. It is unclear whether what Campbell did constitutes:
A member of the Party who joins and/ or
supports a political organisation other than an
official Labour group or other unit of the
Party, or supports any candidate who stands
against an official Labour candidate, or
publicly declares their intent to stand against
a Labour candidate, shall automatically be
ineligible to be or remain a Party member,
subject to the provisions of Chapter 6.I.2
below of the disciplinary rules.
Is admitting to voting for another party a category of supporting that party? One for the disciplinary committee I guess. Anyway it's fun watching a slimeball like Campbell up against the idiots currently running the Labour Party.

By voting Lib Dem did he not support a candidate standing against the official labour candidate. I think he, and the others that publically stated they voted against the official labour candidate are bang to rights. But the rules do need to be applied uniformly and consistently.
Brain the size of a planet and I still have to communicate with morons

As I said, it's unclear whether it falls into the scope of the rule. You can make an argument that it does and you can make an argument that it doesn't.

Don't see it that way myself. Quoting from the rule book
"A member of the Party who joins and/ or

As a fully paid up union member I expect rules to be followed. He should have abstained rather than vote Lib Dem then he would have been OK.
Hmmmm Now as a fully paid up member of UNITE, and therefore an affiliate member of the labour party should I offer myself to the Exec Committee for punishment and chastisement/correctional thinking for not voting Labour?
