arrangement to facilitate making an impermissible donation.
We could argue about whether the Brexit Party is just on the right or just on the wrong side of the law. However, two obvious conclusions are:
1. From a legal perspective, the Electoral Commission should investigate whether the Brexit Party is just on the right or just on the wrong side of the law.
2. From a democratic perspective, the Brexit Party has put in place a system that facilitates the Russian government and other nefarious actors to channel large sums of money into the Brexit Party.Comment

Do you have evidence of either the fact that the Kremlin is funding the Brexit Party or that it is my "favourite" Party?Originally posted by Eirikur View PostWhy are you happy for the Kremlin to finance your favorite party?Comment

Shocking!! Who would do such a thing.Originally posted by Old Greg View PostFarage has set up a system that facilitates illegal Russian (and other) donations (by allowing multiple anonymous payments of £500). Are you deflecting from this with your ridiculous strawman about only having Labour on the ballot paper?
REMAINERS, THAT'S WHO.
European elections battle fund - People's Vote
As we are now in a regulated campaign period for the European Parliamentary elections, we are campaigning in them as a non-party campaigner. As a result we are registered with, and regulated by, the Electoral Commission during this period. This means that donations over £500 have to be verified as permissible, and those over £7,500 published by the Electoral Commission, as required by law.
We have, therefore, set the donation limit to £499 because in a regulated period, any donation for campaign purposes below £500 is considered a small donation, which means that individual donors don’t have to be checked.Comment

The link you provide asks for name, address, postcode, phone no. and email address. Not anonymous. Should the Brexit Party do the same?Originally posted by Platypus View PostShocking!! Who would do such a thing.
