Isn't that what the Poll says (as per the time of this post)?

Just doing what any opinion poll would do and extrapolate.

Those voting for Lib Dem have no idea what they are voting for. If they are voting purely on the basis of the Lib Dem being the remain party then what sort of remain do they want. What sort of remain do the Lib Dems stand for? What does remain mean? What is the long term plan for remaining in the EU. Those voting for remain have no idea what they are voting for? What does remain look like - long term?

You need a large enough sample size. I did a bit of my degree on that stuff about the margin of error. I would think with the CUK sample size your margin of error is about 90% - but that is just a guess.

EDIT: and you need an unbiased sample. CUK is very biased.

Which headline would sell most newspapers

          1. Brexit party heading for 33% share of the vote, with a 90% margin for error - CUK poll shows.

          2. Brexit party heading for 33% share of the vote - CUK poll shows.

I know which the Daily Mail reading portion of CUK would prefer.

You might be voting for an IRA sympathiser-supporting party, but the Lib Dem’s actually turn up in the EP and contribute more than most other UK MEPs.

If/when we do leave, if there is a transition period then there is still work to be done representing the UK’s interests in the EP.

Not quite true that. Once the WA has been ratified the UK loses its MEPs. There during any transition period the UK will have no representation in the European Parliament. In fact if the WA is ratified before July 2nd then any "newly elected " UK MEPs will not be able to take their seats in the European Parliament. Which leads to the question .... WTF are we actually voting for?

My mistake - I agree and stand corrected on that point.

The wider point still remains, though - the Lib Dems are generally the hardest working of our representatives. Certain other MEPs are the least hardest working.

You get the representation that you vote for.

Just because someone turns up every day doesn't make them the hardest working. It only means they have the best attendance record.

According to the Independent, the top 5 hardest working MEPs are
                      1. Charles Cannock - conservative
                      2. William Legg - UKIP
                      3. Sir Graham Watson - Lib Dem
                      4. Marina Yannakoudakis - Conservative
                      5. Baroness Sarah Ludford - Lib Dem

The titles of the Lib Dem MEPs might lead one to surmise that the Lib Dems are elitist
