Haven't posted for some time but have read every comment placed, some with more interest than others if I'm to be honest. I see the conversation going like this:
HMRC: Manc - what do you mean you closed them.
HMRC: Liver - Well we looked at them, checked them out and they were legit so we closed them off
HMRC: Manc - Well we have different plans for those sneaky little tax avoiding brassturds legit or not, so on ya bike Liverpool, hand over all the cases and not a word to anyone. If our dirty little scheme gets out before we nail them all we'll all be for the high jump.
    Let the financial healing commence

Without getting anyone's hopes up, it seems to me that this MAY, just MAY be the smoking gun we're looking for.

If thats the case..... should we not be playing this one carefully? And confidentially? We know the brown spongey-soled shoe brigade read our threads, so I would think the last thing we need to do is give the muppets a heads up...

      Just a thought.

I've lived in fear since 2008. I want these people to suffer just as much as we have.

I hope every one of them is ashamed of themselves.

I believe in Karma, these people will be punished correctly for how they have treated the lives of others.

I think this whole sorry tale is littered with smoking guns, its just that MP's, Judges and HMRC seem to have Gas Masks and Blinkers on and are convenientaly ignoring them.
Politicians are wonderfull people, as long as they stay away from things they don't understand, like working for a living!

            Brown envelope arrived

            Hi,

I got my undue "tax due" statements today, I can't fathom where they make these figures up, and there are 3 statements and I can't even figure out how much they want or even how they came to the figures. I would assume the best cause is to let Montp know and deal with it?

Please clarify - are these final notices issued as a result of the court ruling back in February or are these late arrival CNs for years gone by?

Havent had an acknowledgement from Ben Wallace after I banged off another letter to him after his 'best settle up' reply!

Normally, I get an emailed acknowledgement. Strange!
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

they timed that wrong and no doubt someone will be chastised... I guess most of us will have the brown envelopes in the post, and second class, for the Jubilee weekend to give us the least amount of time to act. When mine arrives I will forward mine to MontP to sort.

If we know they are coming, why don't MontP fire off letters to HMRC now, to spoil HMRC's tactics of leaving little time for appeal.

Your bully-boy tactics don't wash with us now.

                      HMRC Complaints Procedure

Given that we have evidence that
                      a) HMRC personnel misled parliament
                      b) HMRC knowingly treated individual taxpayers differently (in that some scheme users were accepted as ok by Liverpool)

I propose that we raise serious misconduct charges via the HMRC Complaint Process. This is overseen by the Independent Police Complaints Commision and should be aimed squarely at the Unit responsible for the attacks on us. Ultimately if the complaint is upheld, it will result in disciplinary action against the individuals involved.

I realise this has no impact on whether the legal process will be overturned but I think it is a justifiable action.

                      Thoughts?
