I have to disagree, this has nothing to do with MP’s communication strategy!!

MP have simply written a specific letter to specific people under specific circumstances. Some of those people have mentioned the letter in this forum and said its content shouldn’t be disclosed on this forum – the resulting intrigue is not the result MP’s actions!

          It's been a while

But as ever I'm heartened by the support from this group.
At the same time things are getting a little tetchy in here. Please stand firm guys.

This forum has been around too long to fracture or split now. We've built trust, and now is a time to show it. I'm convinced nothing is being hidden or kept secret and that if full disclosure can't be made right now it's for good reason and we'll discover what's going on in due course.

I see the value a closed forum, but don't want to risk fracturing a frankly invaluable forum (I had no idea I'd truly value a chuffing internet forum before).

Chin up lads and apologies if it's a little cheesy or unnecessary

Completely agree with Harmony. As they say... united we stand, divided we fall. Without this group... HMRC would have picked us off one by one. We're the strongest fighting group on here, so let's keep it that way.

A newsletter will be going out tomorrow explaining NTRT's future direction.

For those who didn't receive the Montpelier letter, I really wouldn't worry - it's another angle of attack, but your not missing anything ground-breaking. It's true, that discussion about it on the forum has built it up into something it isn't!

Please remember that the NTRT Steering Group do this job completely voluntarily and it takes a great deal of our time, so we're very grateful for your patience.

Apart from anything else, if we're getting wound up about not knowing, then Hector probably is too. Using up a few resources chasing ghosts. So that works for me.

I was picked off from this forum.

                  NTRT newsletter

To clear up the recent posts about the Montpelier letter which some clients have received, the reason why some have got a letter and some have not got it is because of the individual circumstances of each client.

The letter is all about the on-going work Montpelier are doing to fight our corner but if you haven't got the letter it is because your particular circumstances don’t apply.

An NTRT newsletter will be going out later today.

Because how do you know whether your circumstances meet or do not meet the circumstance of those who have? Can you be certain MP havent mistakenly missed you as having the relevant circumstances?

Personally, I don't see what the problem is in revealing the specific scenario that the letters relate to, however, I'm not about to say what it is myself, in case I screw up - I would rather leave it to someone more "senior" on this forum, DR, for example, to make that call...
Good for you. But I think enough people have been left hanging on in the past without communication from them. If you are happy to be in the 'not received anything so Im happy' camp, I pleased for you. But Im not happy about coded messages being floated and generally being left out the loop.

I appreciate Brillos and your frustration at not knowing what its about, I would be too, but I agree with Brillo that a closed forum would have allowed those of us that know what's going on share high level details with trusted contributors that don't...
                    Good.

Then we disagree. How can this not be a communication issue? Do you seriously think sending a letter to some and not others would start a debate in itself?

And I havent for one minute suggested the content of this letter be discussed in the open.
