    Own your own company and you can establish your own rules, otherwise you have to do what you're told. My company, for instance, picks up all accommodation travel and evening meals, and the odd lunch as well, no limits as long as I behave responsibly.     Just making the point that the IR guidelines for claiming seem to be standard across the board (£5 for lunches, etc). The numbers quoted by the company I worked for were the same as most of the umbrellas - any umbrella that claims you can claim more might be putting you at risk if you are investigated.

    Agree that behaving responsibly is the key here, but some umbrellas let you think the sky's the limit
