Ever had one of those days when you are stressed out and under pressure and then you get home, feet up, telly on and just before bed you think to yourself - I'll just check the BN66 forum to see if anything has happened?

DR - you're a legend mate. You gave a lot of people comfort. I suspect a lot of us knew after the JR that we may not win. For me it just felt good to know what was happening and know I wasn't facing this alone. MP's news blackout was pretty awful - they really were useless. You're worth your weight in gold, and from me and my family, the deepest and sincerest thank-you.

We're not beaten yet, of course, but time to grit our teeth and get ready for some pain. Whatever happens we will get through it.

DR you have indeed provided us all with valuable Information I salute and thank you sir...

There isn't many that believe what HMRC have done is right.. ethically or morally, I do not believe the fight to be over, there has to be a Tax Lawyer out there somewhere that would wipe the floor with the antics of the HMRC on this one …. Don’t give up just yet people.

Personally I am not going down the legal route against montpelier for 2 reasons. Firstly we would lose and I am not throwing good money after bad. Secondly they have stood by us the whole way and show no signs of wavering.

I prefer to sue HMRC - and I expect MP would support us in that. They have lied to parliament and misled us. I still hope you know who will serve time in prison. Though if not I am happy to wait for the afterlife for his retribution.

I got to thank DR too (and the other guys behind the scenes) for keeping us informed and providing comfort during these dark times.

One things for sure, even if we have to pay up, I expect the fight to go on.

HMRC may have won this round, but when we eventually get to the ECHR, I expect a good many of us will be pursuing a class action against HMRC for damages.

As I said in a previous posting, if they collect money from us and we eventually win each of us to sue HMRC for £2M damages...

Perhaps they should have sent out a circular immediately but I think they wanted to wait until they had formulated strategy with Counsel.

As soon as I hear anything I will post an update.
I would not like to name the individual publicly but she is one of the main people at MP if you want PM me and I will let you know.

I am still a little unclear as to the way forward regarding tax tribunals. If we have been through the highest courts on the land and lost how do we then stand with these tribunals?

The HR course may have been a distraction whilst MP, PwC et al. put the real case together

                      Chins up.

DR, you have nothing to feel bad about mate, many here including myself would have caved in a long time back without your guidance and knowledge.

I've got a couple of questions to whoever might be able to answer them..

                      (i) If there are a small number of test cases, presumably a consolidated way of dealing with them would be better than those concerned doing their own thing? (Not having a clue how these things work personally).

(ii) If so, would it be best to take a different angle of approach for each one rather than relying on the same argument for all of them?

(iii) Would we expect MP to be doing this, or do we need to need to get our arses in gear ourselves?
