    DR,

I implore you to have this post cited by MP counsel in the COA; hands down this is a winning material. Maybe we could open with this summary, its really not to far wide of the mark.

I stopped at 7 points in that post as it seemed like a nice number, that's also my preferred lucky dip number of the Lotto and was Kevin Keegan's number when he played for Liverpool. Oops, I sound like an HMRC bod drafting retrospective legislation...

        Pop Quiz

        Q. Why does the Government need retrospective legislation if they have HMRC?

        A. It's because they have HMRC that they need retrospective legislation.

Now that's a quiz I'd like to ask the Judges at the CoA to join in with...

Or ask them to join in with the (House of) Lord's Prayer:

          An enquiry?

I sincerely hope those HMRC incompetants don't think that our just victory will mean we won't then start a legal process to determine how this kind of state-sponsored persecution could ever happen against decent, hard working citizens!!
Like many of you, I most certainly share the legal plan B if the unthinkable does happen !!
          Good luck to you all.
Lord Clyde in 1929: ‘No man is under the smallest obligation, moral or other, so to arrange his legal relations to his business or to his property as to enable the Revenue to put the largest possible shovel into his stores. The Revenue is not slow to take every advantage which is open to it under the taxing statutes for the purpose of depleting the taxpayer’s pocket. And the taxpayer is entitled to be astute to prevent, so far as he honestly can, the depletion of his means by the Revenue.’

Good luck to us all tomorrow!

Let's hope it's less of a kangaroo court than that which was overseen by Judge Parker.

I'm seriously wondering if we'll all be led away in bizarre Guantanamo Bay style jumpsuits and face masks after the verdict

In the 13 years of Labours Experiment, they dumbed down our whole Social Fabric with sound bites such as "fair share" but woefully unable to qualify it. But, what this means and all the other rubbish they brought into existence was nothing more than taking us all down to the lowest common denominator. "Unacceptable" is now used where right and wrong once lived. So me and my family are agreed that we will leave. We won't run and hide or avoid the legal obligations. But we will surrender any notion of being part of this hideous society if retrospection is the cure for incompentence. And if this is the outcome, then I would renounce my citizenship at the first opportunity. That's my Plan B.
I'll be off too. 6 friends have recently moved to Singapore and the wife is primed for us to follow.

The UK will have lost my corporation tax, fuel tax, plenty of alcohol duty, car tax, stamp duty, council tax, national insurance, income tax, road tax. Oh, and my respect.

              Good luck everyone!

Good luck to us all and especially to David Elvin QC. You have the goodwill and carry the hopes of thousands and their families.

PS There's a pint in it for you if you win!

I'll be staying in this country, but if we lose, I will be claiming every benefit under the sun for my family.

Net result = loss to the treasury.
