    No, it's not just you.

    Dear HMRC

HMCE and IR as separate entities were indeed ******* in their own right, but they were good ******* who abided by the rule of law.

Unfortunately (for us), the merger of these two units into HMRC has spawned these units into a destructive, evil monster that unleashes a horde of malevolently mischievous monsters on towns and cities across the country. That is where HMRC is today.

My brother-in-law runs his own private detective agency and he's offered to spend some time over the next few weeks snooping into the personal & financial affairs of the HMRC goons and their families.

I've already given him the names of Brannigan and MacDougall in Salford.

Is there anyone else we want to dig the dirt on?
Well, Dave Hartnett would be a likely contender.

While you're at it, could you ask the private detective to get some pictures of the above named visiting a brothel in full rubber outfit and gimp mask? thanks.

On a completely unlreated matter, I'm pretty handy when it comes to Photoshop, so just a picture of anyone visiting a brothel, and one of Dave "No Apology Necessary - Oops, Sorry, Yes It Is" would suffice... I can graft on any other props I might need from an old Ann Summers catalog.

A few more details have come to light about last week's shennanigans.

          1) HMRC officers from the UK mainland were sworn in by the IoM authorities as Special Constables for the day to go on the raid of Montp's headoffice.

          2) The documents and computers taken by the Police are currently held in custody in the IoM. HMRC have not had access to them, and I understand Montp's lawyers are challenging the seizures.

          3) By now some of you have probably heard who was arrested in the UK (and subsequently released without charge). If you haven't then I'm sure you can guess if I tell you that (a) this is someone who normally resides in IoM and (b) it smacks of a personal vendetta by HMRC.

            1) Absolutely disgraceful decision by the IOm authorities if that's the case.

            2) This really does just make me think it's all about causing the maximum amount of disruption possible.

            3) I hope he takes them to the cleaners.

I sometimes wonder if HMRC realise who they're dealing with these days. Montpelier are not the tiny outfit they were a few years ago. These guys have got seriously deep pockets.

I certainly hope so! If anything else I'm sure HMRC are going for reputational damage, putting off existing and potential clients.

Unfortunately Vallah, this seems to be the modus operandi here. Fair play to DonkeyRhubarb, BarcapBoyz, Smalldog etc, but there are a lot of self righteous people here too, and massively uninformed. There used to be a guy called BrilloPad here whose ego was so badly in the toilet, I cant even begin to explain. Thread logic used to be, if you disagree with me, I will accuse you of being HMRC. And a big middle finger up to him too as far as I was concerned. Luckily he is sulking in a corner these days.

Thats the reason I went back to lurking, but am stepping in to retrospectively clarify the way to operate here i.e. if in doubt, accuse the other of being HMRC.

Thanks for your information from me at least.

You sound like HMRC to me.

Seriously though, I don't believe HMRC have ever posted on this forum or ever will.

We know they used to read it and they even submitted posts as evidence to the JR but I suspect they lost interest ages ago.

That's not to say that everyone who comes on here has good intentions though, and when people are at risk of bankruptcy/losing their home they're bound to be a bit touchy.

Agree with you that not everyone has good intentions, just to pick another random name out of the air, Malvolio is a total (door)knob in my view.

That said though I do remember the days when someone would ask a perfectly valid question and get a mouthful from Brillopad for no particular reason apart form his paranoid delusions - Helen7 is a fine example of this.

Personally I wish he would go back to climbing up tourist sites in Batman uniforms.
