Letting agents do not worry about IT contractors any more, they are used to that sort of thing now. They object to businesses that involve the storage of flammable stock or in customer visiting the premises.

Although every shot term letting agreement I have had this past 8 years or so has forbidden the running of businesses, I always ask and none have objected to it being used as the registered address of my LtdCo. I then make a note in the margin of the agreement and get them to initial it.

However, getting caught homeless between lets is a NIGHTMARE. If I ever find a trustworthy, reliable accountant I shall now make them my registered address just for the peace of mind.
My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.
